Oh the places technology will take you!

Might have stolen my roommate's new iPad and pencil for visual purposes
Us "yougins", especially in the creative industry that is fashion, typically just looooove technology.

Especially the kind that can make our lives, and jobs, easier. For me, it has never really been about brands: sure Apple is great and has a nice reputation, but I don't understand why companies like Samsung get so much undeserved crap (a lot of the times Apple uses technology developed by "Androids"/Samsung and act like it's brand new). As students in fashion, it's very important for us to be very flexible and skilled at multiple computer applications (basically everything Adobe and more). Personally, as someone more involved and influenced in the business side of fashion, I always have some issues working on said programs and understanding each function, especially when it varies from computer to computer (again, Apple vs everyone else).

I myself have now gotten used to working with the Adobes on my HP 2-in-1 laptop (of course with a mouse to make the functions even easier). Samsung previously had a drawing pen already that is compatible with the Adobe programs and seems to have been successful for a while now! And now, just today, Apple just released a new iPad ("that is more than just an iPad") that accompanied the released of the new Apple pencil! At first, I was unimpressed, "oh wow, Apple releasing yet another new product that looks the same," but after watching this add, I take it back!
This new iPad actually looks worth the hype, not the same old product with just a different name. This time, they look more evolved, and I think, understanding and favoring those on the creative side, instead of just gamers. The improvements include the ability/compatibility of using Adobe programs on a tablet and a "pencil" that is compatible enough make being an artist and their work simple enough. Honestly, a huge step forward for the creative community, which includes design (so obvi fashion too), making it 1000 times easier to work on the go.

*sigh* I just love it when our industry is recognized for the better.
