Glossier: Makeup FOR the People

When it comes to what people apply to their faces, every one is different. There are many different categories on which they base their decisions on: from vegan and cruelty free products, to products that support small business, those that support minority entrepreneurs, those who seek luxury from the product's name, and those simply looking for a good deal.

Glossier is honestly one of my favorite makeup brands, one to be proud of. Their story of being born as a company has been an interesting one and their concept is one to be admired (a concept that many brands try to follow but seem to fail in). It all started with a blogger that worked for Vogue posting in her own personal blog, Into the Gloss. It wasn't long after when she was able to quit her full time job and dedicate herself into her brand, Glossier. I think the biggest reason why it has been so successful is because of how much they care for their customer base. Glossier has been a brand created for the people. They have always taken the consideration of their consumer, which are often also the viewers of the blog, into immediate consideration. When Emily Weiss, the founder, needed ideas for what to put into her developing facial cleanser, she asked her viewers what they would like in their dream products. Also, when they came out with the Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick, us customers had a word or two for the brand as the amount issues we had with the product were too high, eventually resulting in the company reformulating the lipsticks.

Reasonably affordable, with modern and minimalistic packaging, Glossier is easily a brand that, not only did it jump to the top of my list, with will become the favorite of thousands as well, continuing to grow exponentially in just the next few years alone!

Someone hide my wallet... I think I may need to buy a few more products now...
